OKBet Volley: UST Beats Adamson to Win SSL Opener 2022

The University of Santo Tomas (UST) prevailed over Adamson and completed the Shakey’s Super League Collegiate Pre-season Championship marathon opening day Saturday night, September 24, at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila. To kick off their season in the Shakey’s Super League, Perpetual defeated San Beda in a nail-biting match that went the full four sets, 24-26, 25-21, 25-23, and 27-25. The match was one of the most competitive of its kind.

Shaila Omipon, a promising rookie, made a memorable start for the Lady Altas with a performance that included 17 points, one of which was an off-the-block hit at the end of the fourth set that put Perpetual at match point.
